New Thought… Take it or Kill It

The Brain.. our tool for thinking.

Jesus at some point said “TAKE no thought, saying…”

My point is this. Not every thought that pops into your head is worthy of being GIVEN life (in the form of speech, action or attitude). The enemy even suggests thoughts to us at times, but we don’t have to “take” them.

We do have the power to….(drum roll)– “fit every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ…” 2 Corinthians 10:5 MSG;
OR “cast down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…” 2 Corinthians 10:5 NKJV.

I love how these versions put it!

Our thoughts are real, yes, they are tangible, creating real changes to your brain, health and life. Say what? Read more about your thought life and neuroplasticity with Dr. Caroline Leaf here. She’s a neuroscientist who prefaces all her findings in a favorite phrase I’ve learned from her: “Science is catching up with the Word of God”. Yes indeed. Every solution in life is in His Word and it’s for us to believe, or discover (science).

  3. To get a better mental grasp on yourself, God & Satan one should study the dichotomy of pain, pleasure, endorphin, dopamine, seratonin & the brains neurotransmitters. All of this has bearing on your well being & it’s development from “Well” to “Supreme.” This is why dianetics is so important to the problems within the problem book. Our brain is the throne of God. This throne has to be repaired. This is why our condition is what it is. Part of the repair is changing our perspective of pain & pleasure. The fall of man resulted in a rewiring of his brain & being locked in the lowest realms of pleasure.

    You cannot be a new creature in Christ with your brain & mind in ruins.
