The Journey to Freedom: We’re open!

The journey continues as we inspire and co-brand with the community to blaze the trail of freedom to those in captivity (Spirit, Mind, or Body). The studio, (Passion BarreKaringah! Fitness Boutique Lounge opened this month of February and it was quite the experience, and so I thought it was about time I poked my head in to say I’m alright and thankful!

Yesterday, I finally had my sudden teary moment as La Shawn led the Barre class in cooling down and the words to her song rang out “God is Here.” I looked around at the beautiful new faces that filled the room and it just hit me: How did this session fill up so quickly? How did we get the honor of serving and leading them through inspiration? It’s all about His glory! As my friend said. “God has His plans and the most important thing is to be a part of it.”

View a couple of photos of our Freedom Space in Progress: the “Before” and “we’re not even through yet” versions. It was an intensely short time getting the space ready and I and several amazing helpful friends and family are still recuperating. We’ve all earned some kind of honorary certificate in painting, flooring and construction. Friends and family far and near offered so much support and words of encouragement that it blew my mind. I will say again, I’m thankful… and inspired!

Karingah!’s first day in Rancho Cucamonga, CA (the Inland Empire) opened with the Passion Barre (Barre Fitness) with some attendance and excitement. The demand for the Barre classes continues to grow and the Karingah! classes as well. Pilates and Zumba stand as runners up. We reiterate the The Fit-for-Free program in all our classes to keep the women and children in captivity on the hearts of our students. Their attendance makes a difference. It fuels us to match their attendance points (freedom points) with money to give to our allies out on the rescue and outreach fields.

If you’re in the Inland Empire, I invite you to come in for a visit, hang around, have a sampling of our Tea Bar and try one of the signature classes. The place is quickly becoming “home” to old and new friends.

A little about Karingah!:

Art meets fitness in a creatively energetic boutique and lounge studio with Tribal Marks inspired lifestyle wear and home accents. Karingah!’s passion is to inspire you to freedom! –For inward and outward healthy living, by conditioning your body and mind  for strength. We also want to co-brand with the community through “FIT-FOR-FREE” to reach out and bring freedom to those in captivity.

Karingah! started as a Tribal Marks lifestyle activity. An art and fitness synergy… a modern World Fusion dance inspired fitness influenced by Africa and it’s diaspora within the Caribbean, Middle East and Latin America; with a touch of Pilates. It has now found it’s home also as the name of its physical studio location– a Boutique Fitness and Dance Spa.

The studio offers small group classes for maximum results and personalization with Karingah!, along with other signature classes: Passion Barre, Pilates, Zumba; and compatible personal services such as life coaching and spa treatments.

P.S. If you haven’t had a chance to try our Passion Barre or other classes yet, we’d love to host you in class. The sweet after burn has been spreading like a wildfire since we brought the barre to Rancho Cucamonga! Click here to reserve your trial class.
In Southern California, we serve Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, Fontana, Ontario, Claremont, Montclair, Corona, Eastvale, Mira Loma, Riverside, Pomona and other surrounding cities. See you at the Barre :)
